Es cirujano máxilo facial. Fue cónsul honorario de la República de Corea en Santa Cruz de La Sierra, Bolivia. Actualmente vive en una colina próxima a la floresta del Parque Nacional Amboró. Publicó 18 libros. Además, publicó numerosos cuentos cortos en diversas antologías. Tiene el privilegio de que James Geary lo considere uno de los mejores aforistas del mundo en su libro Geary's Guide to the World's Great Aphorists.
Born in Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia), July 12/1945. Primary School in La Salle and American Institute. High School in Institute Martin y Omar (San Isidro, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina). College: University of San Pablo in Piracicaba (Brazil), School of Dentistry. Once graduated as Surgeon Dentist, took several postgraduate courses in Brazil and Argentina.
His main activity has been carried out in his hometown. He has also chaired several companies and institutions such as Country Club and PROSALUD, a medical care provider entity supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Dr. Saavedra Weise served also for a long time as a diplomat in his position as General Honorary Consul of the Republic of South Korea (1985-2001). He was awarded The Korean Order of Diplomatic Merit upon his voluntary resignation.
